Burundi/Malaysia: Towards the consolidation of cooperation relations between the two countries

Burundi and the Kingdom of Malaysia are strengthening their bilateral cooperation relations. A new ambassador of Burundi to this country located in Southeast Asia, in the person of the current ambassador of Burundi to India, based in New Delhi, His Excellency Aloys Bizindavyi presented on April 24, 2025, the letters of accreditation to His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia, attesting to his appointment to the representation of Burundi in this country.

Burundi has just accredited its new ambassador to the Kingdom of Malaysia to consolidate the long-standing cooperation relations between the two countries. From now on, the current Ambassador of Burundi to India based in New Delhi, His Excellency Mr. Aloys Bizindavyi is the new representative of Burundi, as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Burundi, in this State located in Southeast Asia whose independence dates back to 1957.
He presented the credentials on April 24, 2025 to His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia. Bilateral relations are the founding element of international relations. As a reminder, Malaysia had requested Burundi’s support for its candidacy to the UN in 2015 and 2016; an eloquent sign that the two countries have built ties that are not new.
