Burundi has just accredited its new ambassador to the Kingdom of Malaysia to consolidate the long-standing cooperation relations between the two countries. From now on, the current Ambassador of Burundi to India based in New Delhi, His Excellency Mr. Aloys Bizindavyi is the new representative of Burundi, as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Burundi, in this State located in Southeast Asia whose independence dates back to 1957.
He presented the credentials on April 24, 2025 to His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia. Bilateral relations are the founding element of international relations. As a reminder, Malaysia had requested Burundi’s support for its candidacy to the UN in 2015 and 2016; an eloquent sign that the two countries have built ties that are not new.
